Clear Living Culture welcomes considered pitches about customs, objects and the choices that shape ordinary life. A strong proposal brings a precise question, a clear reader benefit and enough context to avoid turning one example into a rule for everyone.
What we welcome
Pitch explanatory pieces, comparisons, cultural histories, myth-checking essays and occasion-specific planning that suit our coverage of rituals, objects, customs, making and gathering. Choose a subject a general reader can explore safely without relying on professional advice or rules that change from place to place. We are interested in useful distinctions and thoughtful questions, not product promotion dressed up as editorial.
What makes a strong pitch
State the working title, the central question, the answer or argument you expect to develop and why the subject matters to readers. Explain what makes your approach distinct from familiar advice, name the kinds of sources or material you would consult, and flag any uncertainty or relevant perspective. A broad theme is not yet a pitch: show the specific angle and the reader's takeaway.
How to send a proposal
Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Include a short summary and a way to reply through the form. Please do not send a complete unsolicited article; a focused proposal makes the idea easier to assess.
Meaning hides in the ordinary
We look past the familiar surface to ask what a habit or object does, who it suits and which assumptions it carries.
